HARDIN COUNTY - When Angie Rieck-Hinz visited a few Hardin County farmers recently, this area’s extension crop specialist found growers in a good mood about the almost-completed crop year. It had been a season of hit and miss rains across the county, but yields were pleasantly surprising a lot of those growers, she said.
While they were mostly comfortable with the 2020 results they were concerned about next spring and what everyone expects will be soaring fertilizer costs.
