Eldora icon loses COVID fight: Gregg Reisinger was well-known Paint horse producer

ELDORA – On a sunny Friday morning, Mark Reisinger and his wife, Rebecca, reminisced about Mark’s dad Gregg, at Reisinger Farms on the south edge of Eldora. The American Paint Horse Association icon had lost his battle with COVID-19 on Aug. 16, leaving his son Mark to take the reins of the business in horse breeding and showing. Gregg was the first COVID-related death in Hardin County.

“We don’t know where he got it,” Mark Reisinger said of the virus. “Everyone at the farm was negative.” Then Mark shook his, head, “He tried to be safe.”
