BAXTER - A slow BCLUW start proved costly as Iowa Star South opponent Baxter scored seven runs in the first inning and held on for an 8-2 win over the Comets on Friday.
The Comets set the table with junior Carson Wyman throwing seven errors and walking two batters in his start. The Bolts scored four runs before BCLUW sent out sophomore Daniel Zoske to get them out of the inning, but not before three more unearned runs were given up.
