Do we really need Daylight Savings?

We’re already in this for a week and I will never understand this Daylight Savings Time stuff. First of all, are we in Daylight Savings… or Standard Time? I had to look it up. Everyone calls it Daylight Savings, but we are officially in Standard Time now… until March 13, 2022.

And it seems the change creeps up upon us sometime from the end of October until the middle of November. No one really knows. Then the same thing happens sometime during the month of March… or sometimes April. And it’s always a big surprise to everyone with, “that’s this weekend? Already?”
