ELDORA - An increase in wages for Eldora police officers was approved at the Jan. 11 city council meeting. After comparing wages with other area departments, it was decided the raise was crucial to staying competitive.
The department hopes to hire a fifth officer soon, and with the new wage adjustments, now they will be able to offer up to $23 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
