ELDORA - Fortune might have been smiling on Eldora City Hall back in October when it now appears a lightning strike at least partially disrupted service among the telephones at the site.
Ever since, some of the city’s business offices have not been able to communicate directly with others without stringing temporary wiring between phones.
As it turns out, the lightning may have been well aimed and well timed. The system in use at the administrative offices was vintage 2003 and proverbially “hard to find parts for,” overdue for an upgrade anyway.
