ELDORA - Times have changed. That was the consensus around the Eldora City Council table at their regular monthly meeting Dec. 14. Facing increasing difficulties in trying to recruit police officers to town, the vote was for eliminating what had been a longstanding requirement that any officer hired would have to agree to move to within a prescribed distance of the community. The latest requirement was within 20 miles. In years past it had been smaller still.
