ELDORA - A new large park with river access, shelter houses, a gazebo, and perhaps even camping may be coming to Eldora. At their Aug. 10 meeting, the Eldora City Council approved entering into an agreement with Ritland & Kuiper Landscape Architects to survey and explore developing the Iowa Riverfront Park at River Access 247 on 14th Avenue.
Federal and state grant money along with Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) funds are available for use, and City Administrator Aaron Budweg and Mayor David Dunn have been working hard to ensure it is utilized the best way it can.
