ACKLEY – In recent years, AGWSR softball has had the necessary pitching to grind out low-scoring battles with great opponents.
Defense will likely again be a strong suit for the Cougars this summer, but after the graduation of all-state hurler Taryan Barrick, AGWSR’s pitching presence will take time to re-establish itself.
In the meantime, co-head coach Brenda Drake hopes the Cougars can get the bats going in those tough games.
