BEAMAN – BCLUW snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 6-2 triumph over South Hardin on Monday, Game 1 of an NICL West doubleheader with the Tigers.
South Hardin bit back in Game 2 for a 16-5 victory to salvage the split.
Walker Ashton picked up the win on the mound for the Comets, going six and two-third innings with one earned run allowed on seven hits with seven strikeouts and one walk.
Ashton had two hits with one RBI to help himself out. Gus Callaway added an RBI and scored twice for the Comets.
