Cold, snowy winter? Maybe… : Farmers’ Almanac may not have it right

ELDORA – The Farmers’ Almanac came out with their winter forecast stating we’re in for “a cold winter with normal to below-normal temperatures.” So if COVID-19, a derecho, drought and unemployment weren’t bad enough, the winter of 2020 may prove to be the icing on the cake… but wait, not so fast.

“People love the Farmers’ Almanac,” said State Climatologist Dr. Justin Glisan. “It’s a climatological horoscope. It can be right in certain circumstances, but has a lot of wiggle room.”
