Beautiful, wonderful April rain! The river is up and finally starting to cover sandbars exposed for
several years. The usual spring floods from melting snows came and went in February with no
big rainstorms behind it. So the spring high water period didn’t happen. We had a very warm
late winter and a cool start to springtime. Technically March came in like a Lion with the last day
of the month packing a 6-8” snowfall of heavy wet snow. It was chock full of water, a back
breaker to shovel and a Godsend. Thank you.
