CONRAD – The BCLUW boys track and field team finished second at its home meet, the Les Penick Relays, at BCLUW High School on Thursday.
Aplington-Parkersburg won the team title with 142 points.
The 4x800 relay team of Lane Hartwig, Henry Kaisand, Nick Pieper and Connor Lynch won the event in 8:30.97. The Comets also had five runner-up finishes - Logan Aicher in the long jump, Tyler Bracy in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Nick Pieper in the 800-meter run and the distance medley quartet of Liam Speicher, Aicher, Pieper and Cayden White.
