The sound of music is still alive within the walls of South Hardin thanks to a group who have started a community pep band. With no band teacher at either high school or middle school this year, Nathan Hardy and a few others in the community knew they had to step up. Sure, some may feel it’s easy enough to stick in a generic CD playing the Star-Spangled Banner at all the football games, and call it good, but this is about way more than that. It’s about keeping a band program alive for the kids who are passionate about it.
