ELDORA – Employees at the Hardin County Assessor’s Office are in “fall work mode,” according to Hardin County Assessor Connie Mesch. That means they are out driving in the rural areas to see if homeowners have built additions, or put up new buildings on their property. Later they will be doing the same within city limits of each town in the county.
“We go to the door to let them know what we’re doing, and show ID,” Mesch said, adding all employees will be in county vehicles, not their personal cars.
