John David Sheimo passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Per John’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the family: John Sheimo memorial ℅ Linn’s Funeral Home 1521 Washington Ave., Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The family is requesting that memorials be made out to the American Cancer Society.

Iva Williams, 59, of Webster City, Iowa, formally of Eldora, Iowa, and wife of longtime businessman, Scot A. Williams, passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Sandra (Sandi) Ann McQuiston-Harms, 74, of Wellsburg passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022. She had courageously battled pancreatic cancer and was under the care of Unity Point Hospice.

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded to Iowa Cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Wellsburg Memorial Building. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Bradley Kirkpatrick

Bradley Kirkpatrick, 61, of Hubbard, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at the University of Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Neb., due to complications from a heart transplant on Nov. 22, 2021.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6 at Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard.

Mark Russell Mitchell, 52, of Tama, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, in Cedar Rapids at Mercy Hospital.

Mark was born to Russell and Deb (Damman) Mitchell on Aug. 12, 1969, in Storm Lake, Iowa. He was the oldest of four siblings. Mark attended numerous schools growing up but later graduated from West Marshall in 1988.

Marlys Waggoner was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 30, 1933, to Herman and Helen Barz of Williams, Iowa. Her children and grandchildren loved to hear her stories about growing up on a farm during the Great Depression, wearing dresses made from chicken feed sacks, and attending school with her siblings in a one-room schoolhouse.
