DES MOINES – Lizzie Garber finished in the top half of those competing in the girls 100-meter hurdles at the Drake Relays on Thursday as part of the day’s high school competition.
The BCLUW senior ran 16.19 for 15th place, a bit slower than her Drake qualifying time of 16 seconds flat that currently sits as the third best time in 1A. North Cedar’s Kelly Proesch, the 1A leader at 15 seconds flat, was third on Thursday in 15.12.
Waukee’s Mackenzie Carney claimed the Drake Relays flag with a winning time of 14.69.
