ELDORA - “Just the motivation of knowing it was Grundy Center.”
Despite an injury sidelining Ava Paige for a week, the South Hardin senior setter could not sit out Tuesday’s NICL West opener against conference rival Grundy Center. She went through warmups and felt confident she could get through this early, yet critical match with the 2A 12th-ranked Spartans.
“This is a big conference game,” Paige said. “We might have been fine either way. But I just knew I had to push through and give it my all. My teammates wanted me out there.”
