With the Iowa State Fair, one of the other families in our parish put out a call for a replacement Server for Mass as they were currently showing pigs a few hundred miles away.
Our 10-year-old, Joseph, was mollified with the extra stint by promise of heading over to the new ice cream shop in town after Mass as a reward for covering for the other boy.
