Frank Edward Clark

Frank Edward Clark, 80, of Reinbeck,, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 20, 2024. A memorial visitation was set for Sunday, July 28, from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Abels Funeral and Cremation Service, Creps Chapel in Eldora,. The burial will be private. 

Frank was born Feb. 12, 1944, in Clarksville, to his parents George and Arlene (Ackerman) Clark. He was the third of 11 children. He attended Clarksville schools until the eighth grade. He was united in marriage Aug. 15, 1970 to Diane Peet at Clarksville Community Church.

Frank was employed at Ackerman Salvage for many years, Farmland Foods in Iowa Falls, Rock Island Railroad, Weisman’s in Waterloo and Independence and  Missouri Bridger Junior High School as a custodian.

Frank enjoyed making wooden toys, loved old trucks, especially Studebakers, and all things railroad. However, his true joy in life came from spending time with his family especially his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane; his son Matt (Sheila) Clark of Eldora; daughter Amy Clark of Reinbeck; grandchildren Skyler (Katelyn) Clark of Ackley, Brady (Courtney) Clark of Altoona, Iowa, Sadie (Connor Ryan) of Wellsburg; great-grandchildren Emma, Bailey, Rhett, and Chloe; brothers Roger Clark, Jim (Brenda) Clark, Larry (Elisabeth) Clark; sisters Betty (Robert) Schurman, Rhonda Clark, Glenda Clark (Joe Ferch), Sharon (Rob) Jacques, Dawn (Craig) Coates; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Darrell in infancy; his oldest son Edward Lee Clark; a sister Karen Funte; sisters-in-law Marilyn, Merron, Delores, and Betty; brothers-in-law Ed Funte, Vern Mullinex, and Marvin Moser; nephew Duane Clark; and great-nephew Levi Sansgard.
