MCCALLSBURG - A late night 5-4 win at Colo-Nesco on Friday capped off a 4-0 streak for BCLUW softball last week, and all it took was 10 innings before the Comets got the hit they needed. “We were finding ways to lose this game,” coach Megan Yantis said with a laugh. “Too many mental errors in critical situations that we don’t normally have. It was nice to see our defense buckle down and help get us a win.” The Comets got runners on base early, sending them home off bats from junior Raegan Crawford and Maliah Gunderson for a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.
