A candidate forum at Elsworth Community College saw residents hear a bit about what the choice will be in front of them for the June Primary Election. House District 54 has a contested ballot with Incumbent Josh Meggers, of Grundy Center, and Challenger Jody Anderson, of Iowa Falls, competing to run as the GOP pick. They will face off at the June 4 vote for the Nov. 5 General Election. The audience learned at the start of the night that Meggers was not able to attend, but the Hardin County candidate gave area residents his reasons for selecting him for the role.
