DES MOINES - Just about everything that could have gone right for the South Hardin sprint medley, the school’s final event at the 2024 State Track and Field Championships, absolutely did.
Handoffs were good. The competition was top tier. Junior Alli Sheldahl, freshman Katie Allison, freshman Lorina Dykman and freshman Ayda Eller knew this was their last chance for a medal this season, and ran with that mindset.
The result: fourth place with a new PR of 1:51.54.
