A washboard surface

There is this street I use when I go to the grocery store. It gets rough in some places and it's a bother to be driving so smoothly and all of a sudden hit an uneven surface. The street needs grading, it feels like I'm driving over a washboard.
It's a well traveled route past stores and small shopping centers. That's probably why it has these annoying patches.
I do a lot of thinking while I'm driving. When I hear my tires start to make noise driving over the rough surface I get angry.
