NEW PROVIDENCE - Residents will see a bump in their garbage bills.
During the March 11 meeting, New Providence City Council opted to go ahead with raise the garbage rate to $16 per month.
Council voted for the first reading of the increase.
Meanwhile, council confirmed with Knight’s Sanitation the April Clean Up Day will be the last Saturday for April, April 27.
Notice will go out in April water bills.
It’s budget time for the city. Council heard a property tax max levy meeting will be March 25 at 6 p.m.
