Iowa cropland values hit an all-time high for the third year
in a row in 2023, that according to the annual Land Value
Survey released by Iowa State University’s Center for Agri-
culture and Rural Development (CARD).
Land values across the state climbed 3.7 percent to $11,835
per acre. That number is higher than any year since Iowa
State University began surveying crop and values in 1941.
