Rodrick Ryan

Rodrick Roy Ryan, 66, of Eldora, passed away November 6, 2023. A PARTY was set for Friday, Nov. 10, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Eldora Fire Station. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.

Rod was born August 30, 1957, to the late Roy and Harriet Ryan.  He was the youngest of 3 children. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1975. Rod worked for Hardin County Secondary Road Crew for the last 43 years.

Rod and Michelle married in 1978. They just celebrated 45 years of marriage and shared a very special love. 

Rod loved the community he lived in. He was always helping others, serving in the Fire Department, Sons of American Legion, Board member of Wildlife Club, ABATE of Iowa. His family referred to him as "MR. Eldora." Rod loved being a part of anything and everything and was always willing to give a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife Michelle, daughters Danielle (Matt), Lacey (John), four granddaughters Mya, Mea, Madelyn and Maely, brother Todd (Linda), brother-in-law Randy, sister-in-law Kelly, along with several nieces and nephews.

Rod is preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Harriett, sister Sharon, father and mother-in-law Harlan and Karen Standorf, brother-in-law Greg.
