The inter-county rivalry between AGWSR and Iowa Falls-Alden has had its close baseball games in recent years, but for the first time since 2016 the Cougars walked away with a hard-fought 8-6 victory on Tuesday for their second win of the season.
“It’s usually been in the seventh inning where things get decided, and this year wasn’t any different,” coach Dave Showalter said. “This was a fun battle tonight and we were fortunate to be able to play after the storm they had. Kudos to them for the field being ready.”
