An exciting and unusual visit from former president, Abraham Lincoln to the Eldora Public Library proved to be an educational experience for all who attended.
Lincoln began his oration by informing the crowd that he was happy to be visiting folks in Iowa. Recalling that his first and only visit to Council Bluffs was in 1859 and there were not many roads in Iowa at that time.
