“Who will run to the store to get eggs?” are words never heard at the Coffman household located in between Eldora and Hubbard. Willie Coffman has been raising chickens his whole life, and anyone driving by their acreage is sure to spot an “eggs for sale” sign. Coffman’s children Nathan and Lacee are the fifth generation to live on their acreage and both play a role in helping with the chickens. The family has about 20 laying hens right now, as well as a few retired hens and three roosters. They also raise broilers every year.
