Cutting Edge: Bladesmith Keeps Skill Alive

A typical day for Vince Tiso begins before 4 in the morning as he gets up to walk his dogs. From there he heads straight to his shop, and begins working on the latest leather, knife, tomahawk, or flintlock rifle project laying upon his desk. For Tiso, this is hardly considered work, it’s fun. He spent 31 years working on Wall Street wearing a suit and tie and is now retired, going through what he describes as a fun stage of life. He can be in his shop anytime as much as he wants.
