HARDIN COUNTY – In the only locally contested race in last Tuesday’s Primary Election, Republican Joshua Meggers won the State Representative District 54 seat by 440 votes, beating contender and Republican Robert Nazario. Although Nazario won by a lead of 96 votes in Hardin County, he lost in both Grundy and Black Hawk counties. The total votes were Meggers: 1,736 and Nazario: 1,296.
