Talking trash: Jass hired as RIWMA director

ELDORA– A new director has been hired for Hardin County’s Rural Iowa Waste Management Association (RIWMA), after the board relieved former director Dan Aastrup of his duties last November.

Harm Jass, 33, of Parkersburg stepped in as director on May 14, after spending the previous 12 years at Brown Nationalease, the last two as shop foreman. He received a General Studies degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2019.
