ACKLEY – BCLUW softball defeated AGWSR in both games of an NICL West doubleheader on May 31, winning Game 1 9-6 and pounding out an 18-5 victory in six innings in Game 2.
Callie Swanson, Cameron Bergman and Cassie Nason all knocked in two runs each for the Comets in the opener. Swanson was 2-for-4 with two doubles and Nason 3-for-4.
Katie Hill secured the pitching victory with three earned runs on nine hits, seven strikeouts and one walk.
In the nightcap, the Comets poured on eight runs in the sixth inning to bring the doubleheader to an early finish.
