ELDORA – Grace Cable brought Jaidyn Teske home in the sixth inning of a 1-0 South Hardin softball victory over Iowa Falls-Alden on Opening Day, Monday, May 23, at South Hardin High School.
Hailey Rosonke handled the rest for the Tigers in the circle, striking out 14 batters in a two-hitter complete game shutout.
The game had been a bit of a pitchers’ duel to that point, with Cadets pitcher Cidni Phipps finishing with only three hits scattered and one earned run on one walk and eight strikeouts.
Rosonke, Teske and Ellie Anderson had the hits for the Tigers on Monday.
