Abby Veld, an AGWSR sophomore, finished 18th in the girls shot put at the Drake Relays on Thursday, April 28 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Her best throw was 36 feet, 7.25 inches, on her final throw of the first flight. It was Veld’s first appearance at the Drake Relays - she qualified for the state meet in the shot put as a freshman in 2021. (Jake Ryder photo)
