ELDORA - Last week Eldora City Council members chose big cuts and other adjustments, even an additional bond issue, to make the community’s 11th Avenue street reconstruction a reality. Bids on the big paving project came in higher than expected over a month ago but the council took the lower of those two bids last Tuesday and kept the project moving along anyway.
The consensus was that the town had to press ahead on the project even if it meant spending more than the original design anticipated.
