ELDORA - Eldora has about $400,000 coming its way as a result of the retail sales tax, and meeting last week, the Eldora City Council came up with a list of destinations for the money.
The state sets lots of limits on city and county spending, but one area where localities have a little leeway comes in tapping the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) system. So, the Eldora City Council turned its attention to LOST last week.
Accessing the dollars requires a promise to the state about where the money will go.
