ELDORA - Two degrees Fahrenheit and it was still almost standing room only at Pine Lake.
Hardin County Conservation scored a big hit with the small fry a couple of weekends ago. In a special workshop hosted on lower Pine Lake, folks from the DNR, the Hardin County Conservation commission and a corps of financial supporters hosted eager ice fishing-kids, schooling them in the basics of the sport.
Organizers said they were pleasantly stunned by the turnout, with well over 100 in attendance. They had thought they might host a dozen.
