ELDORA – The Hardin County Board of Supervisors approved publishing the proposed ditch-mowing ordinance (see Page 10 of today’s Herald-Ledger for the ordinance summary), setting the first and final reading for March 9, and waiving the second reading.
Discussions about this ordinance have been on the supervisor’s agenda since the beginning of the year and have focused on the possibility of fines for people illegally mowing ditches, as well as civil penalties assessed to property owners if illegal mowing occurs.
