INDEPENDENCE – South Hardin-BCLUW senior Carter Kolthoff won the 120-pound sectional title at the Feb. 5 tournament at Independence High School.
Kolthoff advances as the lone qualifier for the Storm to Saturday’s Class 2A District 5 tournament in New Hampton, with wrestling starting at 11 a.m., one hour earlier than previous years. He will start his day against Waukon’s Owen Malone, a senior with a 12-7 record that was the runner-up at 120 pounds at the Cresco sectional.
