The Iowa Football Coaches Association recognized three area players on the state-wide all-academic teams released recently.
South Hardin’s Mason Sheldahl earned a spot on the 1A team, while AGWSR’s Darren Veld and BCLUW’s Nick Pieper were selected to the Class A team.
Criteria for selection to the teams included being a senior starter with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or better at the end of their junior year, being involved with other extracurricular activities and receiving a nomination from the team’s head coach.
