HARDIN COUNTY – Hardin County farmland values have soared along with most of the rest of the state in 2021. That’s according to Iowa State University’s most recent survey of farmland values, released with the year’s end.
That 2021 Iowa State University Land Value Survey reported a statewide 29 percent increase, to an average of $9,751 per acre in 2021. Closer to home, the report showed a 28.5 percent increase in Hardin County values, up to $10,960. Grundy County values averaged $11,724 in 2021, up by 26.8 percent.
