Hardin County's "worst ever storm"

HARDIN COUNTY – Just about everything horrible you can think of finds its way into your living room, via television.

And, the weather is certainly no exception.

So, a few days back, we spent the evening watching a massive system, packed with high winds, as it tracked inexorably across western Iowa and closed on Hardin County. As it turned out, the storm of December 15, 2021 will be remembered more for its buildup than the actual damage done here in Eldora.

But storms have sometimes been as bad as their press.
