Pine Lake State Park Manager to take on new role

ELDORA - After seven years at Pine Lake State Park, park ranger and now-park manager, Andy Place, will soon be leaving for a new manager’s post at Big Creek State Park near Polk City.

“It will be noticeably different,” Place said. The park near Des Moines puts a focus on fishing and water sports. Pine Lake State Park, for the park manager, means a taste of everything – from grooming the grounds to contributing to million dollar improvements in the parks and campgrounds.
