ELDORA – A few months ago, Bladyn Virchow discovered he had an artistic talent. The 11-year-old sixth grader at South Hardin Middle School picked up a brush and began painting abstract art, which he now sells at flea markets, craft fairs and through Facebook. In addition, he donates 20 percent of his proceeds to the Cerebral Palsy Association. So far, that number has reached almost $300.
“I was actually born, basically trying to be alive,” Bladyn said. “The doctors saw me and knew I could have passed away on the first day.”
