ELDORA - The Eldora Veterans Memorial is a work always in progress. There are 1,497 names on the tablets today, which is the same number as the day of dedication about two years ago.
That is a testament to the thoroughness of the organizers of the project. They went through reams of records to verify the veteran’s status and Eldora connections. There have been eight new names submitted since the dedication, and when that number becomes 20, there will be an invitation to the engravers to update the tablets.
