ELDORA – It was a 43-year long ride. That’s how long Gary and Linda McEwen were in business as Gary’s Barber and Styling Salon and Linda’s Beauty Salon. The married couple bought the building at 1128 Edgington Ave. back in 1979 after renting a spot for a year and have been going strong ever since.
That all ended earlier this month when they chose to retire and sell their business. A buyer has already purchased the building and the McEwens have packed their belongings and moved out.
“It’s our love story,” Linda smiled.
