ELDORA – South Hardin football played Denver close through the first quarter of Friday’s regular-season finale at Tiger Field.
But the Cyclone offense kicked into gear in the final three quarters with 34 unanswered points, dealing the Tigers a 47-7 defeat to wrap up Class 1A District 3 play.
South Hardin moves on to the postseason as the fourth-place team out of District 3, drawing a road match with undefeated Dyersville Beckman on Friday.
Denver’s offense spun up 399 yards of total offense and the Cyclone defense forced four South Hardin turnovers.
