ELDORA - The vehicle is all but assembled at the plant in northeast Iowa, but the Eldora City Council still has to tie up a few formalities associated with delivery of its new ambulance.
Close to a year ago, the city agreed to add a new carrier to its fleet. It had subsequently looked to the U.S. Department of Agriculture for help funding the purchase, and last week, council members had to pass one last resolution accepting an $87,600 USDA grant and a $162,000 USDA-backed repayable loan.
